The terrace and walls at the Shapiro Campus Center Building on Brandeis’ Waltham campus were deteriorating. Brandeis hired Studio 2112 to reimagine the hardscape and connection to the great lawn on the south side of the building. The desire for an outdoor dining area, improved pedestrian circulation and a shade structure were part of the design program. Working with Nick Capone from Capone Architecture we have been developing concepts for a large pergola to define the space and add a human scaled element to this iconic campus building.
The project will be in construction summer of 2021.
