Massachusetts State House Kennedy Terrace
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Architect: Simpson, Gumphertz and Heger with DCAMM
Status: Construction 2021
Precipitated by failing pavement at the Kennedy (west) Terrace of the State House we have developed options for redesigning the space with SGH Engineers. The project has expanded to include the South Terrace facing the Boston Common and the main entry terrace containing the General Hooker Statue. The design proposes native plant materials with significance to Massachusetts in a low maintenance setting that will provide year round interest. The space serves as an outdoor garden for staff to dine or relax in a private setting.
The project is currently in Design Development.
