SNHU College of Engineering, Technology, and Aeronautics III
Location: SNHU Campus, Manchester, New Hampshire
Architect: WIlson | HGA
Completed: Winter 2019
In a design-build collaboration with Wilson | HGA Architects and Skanska, Studio 2112 designed the landscape for the new CETA III building and expanded quad on the SNHU Manchester campus. Following a campus-wide study to determine site selection, the CETA site transforms a previously existing parking lot to a landscape quad supporting the surrounding residential and academic buildings. Playful spaces for outdoor games, hammocks, and wellness blend with space for outdoor study and dining. Emergency access, vehicular reconfiguration and clear pedestrian access were studied to assist the University in their larger master planning studies for the expanding campus. The site manages stormwater through a series of integrated rain gardens.
