This MSBA project will replace the existing Foster Elementary School within the same project site. The new school will provide mitigation and restoration within the buffer zone of the adjacent wetlands and river floodplain regulatory areas. We are leveraging the proximity of these adjacent ecosystems to provide learning opportunities through a wilderness classroom, garden programs, rain garden exploration and adventure play. Pre-K has direct access to their own play area and the community will be able to use the new tennis courts and softball field to enhance their recreational programming. Biodiversity will be increased through native shade trees and shrubs providing year-round interest and educational opportunities for these well-deserving students.
